Sitting Volleyball

The biggest difference between sitting volleyball and volleyball is obviously that in sitting volleyball players remain seated on court during the play. Otherwise sitting volleyball is almost exactly like volleyball. The sets are played best-of-five to 25 points and a possible fifth set to 15 points. A team consists of 12 players of which six players are on the court. The players wear regular volleyball uniforms, but many players prefer long pants. The basic differences between sitting volleyball and volleyball are: smaller court (10 m x 6 m, 2 m attack zone), lower net (1.15 m for men and 1.05 for women), serves can be blocked and the pace of play is faster due to reduced court size and lower net height.

There is an international women's tournament in Pajulahti Games.
