Goalball from the top of the world in Pajulahti Games 2013

Finnish men goalball team that won gold in Paralympic Games will face tough opponents in Pajulahti Games 2013 goalball tournament in Nastola 18th–20th January. Lithuania finished fourth in London and Czech Republic was promoted to European A-level Championships after winning European B Championships in autumn. The fourth team in the tournament, Russia, is also very potential team.

Finnish women goalball team finished fourth in Paralympics Games and will face strong goalball countries such as United States and Canada in Pajulahti Games. Israel and Russia complete the five team tournament in Nastola. Finland won Canada in Paralympic Games quarter final so Canadians will be waiting for a rematch.

In women sitting volleyball tournament the upcoming Finnish team will face Russia and Hungary. Russians are already one of the best teams in women sitting volleyball and Hungary as well as Finland is trying to narrow the gap to the world elite.

There are 40 players at the moment entering the international showdown tournament in Pajulahti Games. Players represent six countries: Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark and France.

During the Pajulahti Games there will also be open indoor athletics Finnish Championships in Pajulahti. Among Finnish athletes there is also some Nigerian and Russian athletes registered to the competition. 40 judokas are entering the Special Needs Judo tournament in Pajulahti Games.

Pajulahti Games 2013

The third Pajulahti Games sports event will include four sports: sitting volleyball, goalball, showdown and judo. An international tournament will be held in women's sitting volleyball, men and women's goalball, showdown and judo. There will also be an open Finnish Championships in athletics and a high Performance coaching seminar.
