Pajulahti Games 2015: World Championship medalists in sitting volleyball and goalball

The fifth annual Pajulahti Games will be held from 16th to 18th January 2015 in Pajulahti Sport Institute in Nastola.

There are total of seven different sports in Pajulahti Games 2015: goalball, sitting volleyball, showdown, judo, athletics, powerlifting and wheelchair rugby.

International tournaments are arranged in goalball, sitting volleyball and showdown. Sitting volleyball tournament is for women’s national teams. In goalball and showdown there are tournaments for both men and women.

There’s some top quality action in women’s sitting volleyball tournament. The top teams are World Championship bronze medalist Russia and the 2016 Paralympics Games host Brazil. Finland and Hungary complete the four team tournament.

Three out of four semifinal teams from the 2014 Goalball World Championships are taking part in Pajulahti Games women’s goalball tournament. World Champion USA, silver medalist Russia and Paralympic gold medalist Japan make sure that Pajulahti Games will be one of the toughest women’s goalball tournaments in 2015. Other teams in the tournament are Finland, Israel and Canada.

China, Lithuania, Sweden and Finland are taking part in men’s goalball tournament.

There are open indoor Finnish national championships in athletics, national championships in powerlifting, national championship tournament in wheelchair rugby and special needs judo tournament also during the three eventful days of Pajulahti Games 2015.
